I generally like the books from author Chuck Palahniuk,although I comprehend the reason why he has many detractors.His books frequently border on the absurd and they are full of bizarre and antipathetic characters with ambiguous intentions and inexistent morality.However,in my particular case,the vitality of the narrative and the force from the ideas are enough for making his work fascinating,at the same time it presents strange concepts with a simultaneously laconic and poetic style.If what I have just mentioned on the previous paragraph seems confusing is because Palahniuk’s work is very difficult to describe.So,how difficult would it be to take his work to the huge screen? I suppose that the precedent established by the excellent film Fight Club has set a very high standard which will be difficult to surpass on any other film based on a Palahniuk’s book.Choke is extremely far away from reaching the levels of Fight Club,but it still feels as a mediocre film which could not capture the sardonic sense of humor and fascinating characters’ psychology from the book.The main problem at adapting a literary work to the cinema is that even if the main story is respected,the author’s “voice” which made the book memorable will be missed.And it is exactly there where the vision of the director must get in,in order to achieving that identity or at least replace it with something interesting or unique.The previously mentioned Fight Club is a perfect example of that; but Clark Gregg is far from being David Fincher,and his weak direction cannot transmit any of the identity from the book.He only generates the minimum level of energy in order to keeping the story moderately interesting.If it was not for Sam Rockwell’s excellent performance,we would only have a collection of extravagant scenes and cynic dialogs which are not connected by the solid narrative flow Gregg should have achieved.Fortunately,Rockwell is absolutely credible and natural on his role,and his performance truly elevated the quality from the video.Choke worked much better on the literary medium thanks to its structure,vivid descriptions and eloquent narrative.The film is an insipid and generic adaptation of the book.However,I did not dislike it,and I think it deserves a slight recommendation,because it did not bore me and,mainly,because of Rockwell’s performance.
Knocked Up is a fun movie in itself, but here at Go Go Celeb, we managed to slip in a hardcore fucking scene right there. It’s about a slacker dude who meets a foxy career woman, gets drunk and goes all the way! These high-quality cartoon sex scenes show in detail how Ben stuffs his rock-hard porker up hot Alison’s dripping wet coochie. They’re so wasted that their one-time pumpfest gets wild as it could ever get! Alison even reaches seventh heaven when Ben hits her clit with his schlong, so she rides and grinds her way to an explosive climax just before Ben shoots his load right inside Alison’s twitching pussy.

This movie is great if you are into the camp of the 80’s slasher movies. It’s got a humorous twist on the conventional form but is loaded with dialog that fits the genre as well as if it’d come out of an old Friday the 13th movie. The acting is very much in line with the bulk of 80’s slashers but the lead girl is solid and has a great scream. The killer, hope that doesn’t spoil anything, but there’s a killer, pulls off the part with a funny deadpan take. The movie is scary in places, but the character keeps it pretty funny throughout. It’s obviously a budget movie, but the camera work is sharp and there are some cool panning long takes and well orchestrated shots. Overall, I give it a 10 for the genre. Good entertainment.

If you liked Shoot’em up, then you will love this.The style this movie is shot in, is simply paying homage to all the old school films. Saturday kung-fu flicks, 1970s action flick, and high budget action films that simply sucked.This movie is awesome. It is a ride from start to finish. a non stop action ride, wit and humor pervade this film. The camera work and directing were well thought out, the story flowed in a forward direction.The entire concept was one inconceivable idea after another, and all the ideas worked. If you can watch Die Hard movies then you can watch this and love it for what it is.SEE THIS MOVIE
